Since 1990, the goal is to drive the shortest possible distance. With only traditional navigation tools at her disposal, each participant plots her own off-road route in the desert of Morocco.

ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION

In 2010, they obtained ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for Environmental Management Systems. The Rallye became, and is still to this day, the only rally in the world to have earned this certification.

ANNIE JOMPHE

designer

Born in 1982 in Quebec, QC., mother of 3 children, in a happy marriage since 2003, Annie is the owner of Sitka Concept, a design & build firm in Penticton since 2019. Her & her family sold everything they owned in 2006 for a 2-years sailing trip around the Caribbean sea. Author of her book “Partir pour mieux revenir”, adventures and challenges are always in her mind!

PENELOPE ROCHE

Wine Maker

Born in 1982, in Bordeaux, France, mother of 3 children, in a happy marriage since 2007, Penelope is the owner of Roche Wines, in Penticton since 2018. She moved all the way from France to Canada to share with us her true passion; wine making! She loves horseback riding, mountain biking and sailing. Challenges and adventures are always in the back of her mind!

THE TEAM

Annie & Penelope quickly became friends. They met through their children who went to the same french school. Airstream, travel, sailing and big dreams where part of their day-to-day discussions. Until they realized they shared the same old dream; “One day, I will go to the Rallye des Gazelles!”. They decided to form the team “The Frosty Gazelles”. Frosty because a gazelle in Canada would surely have some frost under the chin! The team officially made their pre-inscription, actively looking for sponsors to help them join Morocco for spring 2025.
